This is very helpful. However, how do you bind a combo box? I can’t figure out how to get the values of the combo box in the site field definitions to show in the drop down list.
I’m trying to get Domino LDAP authentication to work. I’ve followed the steps described in the following link but it doesn’t seem work. I can reach and connect to our LDAP server using a tool from Softerra, so I know the LDAP server is okay. There’s an attribute called “userContainer” that must be configured into web.config that I can’t seem to find adequate reference or information for. Any help will be appreciated.

Also, unable to get the Search function to work. Do a search for words, which I know are on the site in multiple locations and it returns nothing.
I enjoyed using the tutorial to change the layout of the NewForms.aspx. It worked and it didn’t blow up.
Daniel – I appreciate you taking the time to post this customizing a Sharepoint form article. It helped me out a lot. I had the same problem attaching files to the modified form as Arno in the beginning of the responses. I saw your note later in the response list that said you could find no fix for this. Since it had been a few months since you made that statement, I googled on “attaching files to edited sharepoint form” and the first hit back pointed me to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953271 which describes a fix for this. Thought I’d share that back with you and your viewers.
